It's always kind of irked me when people use the word culture unnecessarily. Think about it - what's the difference between calling something like, say, youth crime in China a cultural problem and a social problem? One's much more condescending than the other.
I don't edit any of my photos after I take them. I consider photoediting for purely aesthetic purposes something more in the realm of an illustrator than a photographer.
